LINCOLN PLACE – VISTA CANYON’S DOWNTOWN
Posted on 1/3/2018

1960s songbird Petula Clark immortalized the pleasures to be found in Downtown’s bright lights, movie shows and little places to go.   Its “gentle bossa nova” of sound: traffic – walkers, runners, strollers; cars, bikes, trains – mixed with conversation, laughter and music, offers the perfect place to connect – with others or with oneself.

Vista Canyon’s own “Downtown” or “Main Street” is centered along Lincoln Place and is envisioned as the heart of the community: a vibrant, easy-to-get-to core of employment, entertainment and surprises of activity.   Boasting its very own transit center with Metrolink train depot and bus service, Lincoln Place will be home to leading edge office space, neighborhood grocery, drugstore, cinema, book store and services along with on-trend shops, coffeehouses, restaurants and watering holes.

Lincoln Place is just steps from resort-caliber apartment homes. It’s a quick walk or ride from any of Vista Canyon’s residential neighborhoods, park or recreation facilities via an inviting network of landscaped paths and trails. Getting around is so easy – it’s less than a ¼ mile from the Santa Clara River (the northern border of Vista Canyon) to the depot – and because the entire community is just a mile wide, Lincoln Place is no more than ½ mile from anywhere in town! At Vista Canyon, foot and pedal power can be the preferred modes of transportation!

Better yet, as Vista Canyon will be home to Santa Clarita’s newest employment hub, with more than 4,000 jobs planned within its new corporate campus and commercial/retail center, working close to home can become a reality for many. For commuters, the transit center at Lincoln Place provides hassle-free access to and from the community.

The songbird said it best: Things will be great when you’re downtown.
