Vista Canyon’s future transit center is on schedule with $6 million in grant financing obtained so far. Both Metro and the City of Santa Clarita continue to pursue additional grant opportunities, and both are collaborating now on the initial engineering and design of the Metrolink platform and track work. Vista Canyon’s Metro stop will become part of the popular Antelope Valley Line — currently operating 22 trains daily— running between Lancaster and LA Union Station. Look for construction to begin by early 2018.
Why drive? Situated along existing tracks in the heart of Vista Canyon’s future Town Center area, the Transit Center will offer commuters super-convenient access to work, shopping, dining, movies, hotel, banks, groceries (the list goes on). And while we wait, it’s only a quick trip to Metrolink’s existing Via Princessa station.
Vista Canyon’s Transit Center will also be home to Santa Clarita’s second bus transfer station, meaning east side commuters will have even easier access to the City’s popular bus line.
