Vista Canyon has achieved a new milestone: groundbreaking on the new Metrolink train station, accompanied by a ribbon-cutting for the adjacent parking structure at Vista Canyon. The new station will join the bus transfer station already under construction since late January to create a public transportation hub for the community. The state-of-the-art infrastructure and frequency of public transportation service will enable Vista Canyon to be truly “car-optional” and conveniently connected to other communities. The new station will become part of Metrolink’s Antelope Valley Line, which runs between Lancaster Station in Lancaster, California and Los Angeles Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. Riders at the Vista Canyon Metrolink Station will only be steps away from exploring and enjoying the community’s new shops, restaurants and retail businesses along Vista Canyon’s Main Street. Motorists will also be able to access the new station with a planned parking structure with room for 613 vehicles. The design work for the Vista Canyon Boulevard Bridge is almost complete with construction to begin in May 2021 to provide convenient vehicle access to the parking structure and station.
