What is Vista Canyon?
Vista Canyon is Southern California’s most innovative new live, work, walk and ride community. Where is Vista Canyon located?
Vista Canyon is part of the City of Santa Clarita in north Los Angeles County. The community is located on the east side of State Route 14 (the Antelope Valley Freeway) and can be accessed from two exits – Sand Canyon Road and Via Princessa. The community is beautifully situated between the highway and the Santa Susanna Mountains. Close to everywhere you want to be, Vista Canyon will have easy access via commuter rail and freeway to San Fernando Valley, Downtown LA, and Hollywood to the south and the Antelope Valley to the north. Plus, we are less than 30 minutes from Burbank Airport!

What’s the timeline for construction in Vista Canyon?
Commencing by summer 2015, first phase of development includes For-lease multifamily homes, neighborhood retail, a parking structure, the first office building along the main retail street and the community’s water reclamation facility.

What is the Vista Canyon Transit Station?
Vista Canyon will feature an all-new transit center containing a Metrolink commuter rail depot and a City of Santa Clarita bus transfer station. The new Metrolink light rail stop will become part of the popular Antelope Valley line running from Lancaster to Union Station. The transit center is a private/public partnership with the City of Santa Clarita.



What types of homes will be built in Vista Canyon?
Vista Canyon will offer a variety of homes that are in synch with people at any number of exciting points in their lives! Upscale “For-lease” apartments in Town Square will provide countless amenities and conveniences like onsite fitness centers, landscaped courtyards and concierge services—living in the heart of the vibrant Town Center means you are steps from shops, cafes, services and the transit center. A traditional mix of “For-sale” homes built by respected homebuilders is also available in Vista Canyon.

When will apartment homes be available for lease?
Construction on apartment homes in Vista Canyon’s Town Square is expected to begin in late 2016 with the first homes available for lease in 2017.

When will homes be available for purchase?
Land sales to residential homebuilders are expected to commence in 2016. The first phase of “For-sale” homes (townhomes, courtyard homes, traditional detached residences) could begin construction in late 2016 or early 2017.

How can I get on a waiting list to purchase a new home in Vista Canyon?
For sale homes in Vista Canyon will be built by leading home builders who will have their own processes relative to home sales. Individuals on Vista Canyon’s general interest list will be notified as home builders are confirmed and should independently contact each builder to be placed on their interest/waiting lists. Contact us.

What schools will students from Vista Canyon attend?
Santa Clarita is well known for its quality schools and offers a respected curriculum for preschoolers through graduate students. Elementary school-aged children living in Vista Canyon will attend classes in the Sulphur Springs School District, with Sulphur Springs Elementary School located within walking distance of most Vista Canyon homes. School assignments are subject to change and prospective residents are encouraged to refer questions to SSSD. Junior and senior high school students attend class in the William S Hart High School District. The High School District offers open enrollment and features a number of alternative programs including middle college high school, Jereann Bownman Continuation High School, Academy of the Canyons, independent study program, a homeschooling support program, an adult school and a Regional Occupational Program. What about higher education?
Santa Clarita offers a wide range of options for continuing education. College of the Canyons, part of California’s Community College system, is located in Santa Clarita and covers a 367-square-mile service area. It offers nearly 150 associate degree and certificate programs, and serves 31,000 students per year at campuses in Valencia and Canyon Country, as well as online. The College’s unique University Center allows students to earn bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from a collection of public and private universities. Also located in Santa Clarita are The Master’s College, a non-denominational, conservative Christian liberal arts college and California Institute of the Arts, an internationally recognized school for the performing and visual arts – film, theater, art, dance, music and writing. California State University at Northridge is located approximately 20 miles from Vista Canyon in neighboring San Fernando Valley.

What are the community’s recreation amenities?
Vista Canyon is walk and bike friendly. In addition to acres of preserved passive and active open space along the banks of the Santa Clara River, Vista Canyon’s 4 mile system of bike, pedestrian and equestrian paths connects the community and links to miles of existing City trails. Apartment homes in Town Square will feature on site fitness and recreation facilities. The residential neighborhood east of the corporate campus will offer a private recreation and activity center with pool, spa, and meeting space. Tennis courts and playground will be found in the 10 acre Oak Park, which is also the site of the future Santa Clara River Educational Center.

What is planned for Vista Town Square?
Vista Canyon’s Town Square consists of a tree-lined “main street” which terminates at a lively open-air plaza. This dynamic social and retail hub will host a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, entertainment venues and services along with a regular schedule of music, art and community-centered events.
